I toyed with what to call this post - "D-Day", "The End of the World as I Know It", etc. But clearly DadGoneMad came up with the best title (and I wanted people to get Europe stuck in their heads). Looks like I've got some reading to do. For those that care, the slice and dice is scheduled for 8:00 am on February 8, 2008. There will be a memorial service to follow, as soon as I can walk without the aid of frozen peas.

Code Monkey
Jonathan Coulton made this post and it gave me an excuse to try and embed video. How hard can it be, right?

Beerberries
It is my friend Paul's favorite time of the year because Red Brick Station has blueberry beer on tap. In fact, they drop a handful of blueberries into the beer before serving it to you. My question is how much alcohol can those blueberries really absorb in the 15 minutes or so that they are in the beer? I mean really. Certainly not enough to intoxicate even a 3 year old. Right?
Dollar Bets
At dinner last night, I discovered that my son will be the kid at the cafeteria table accepting dollar bets to do stupid things. His sister found a pepper grinder and was playing with it. He decided he wanted to taste the pepper. When I was a kid, pepper on the tongue was a punishment. Apparently it is a delicacy for him, as he smiled eating it. Next up, the chocolate milk, mashed potatoes, ketchup, and other various condiments swirl. Maybe I can at least get a cut.

Blog Title
Is it wise for a boy who refuses to grow up to be a dad? Only time (and three kids) will tell.
